Another workout
Today was another track workout, mile repeats once again. I dread these workouts, but i know they are necessary.. Today i felt completely terrible. I ran my first mile in 5:26 which felt good but then that fell to a 5:35 and the third was hurt so bad getting me a 5:45. The cramps and almost throwing up were too overwhelming, i had to call it quits after just 3 repeats. Yet another day reassuring me that not doing track officially is the right thing to do.

Lazy.. haha
After the day off yesterday because of my laziness, I expected to go for a solid run today. Well, my life was quite hectic today and i ended up taking the easy way out and biking 12 miles. I am trying to cross train more this season to avoid injury by strengthening my quads. Although i only biked, it was at a solid pace and i worked up a sweat. It may have been being lazy, but it was a hard workout and much more enjoyable than running..!

Exhausted
Well, today was another really nice day outside and i went for an easy 4. Today was 2 days after my track workout, and i really felt it today. My legs were really tired and i had a hard time on my easy run. To go along with that, 3/4 of my run was with my face in wind and there were a lot of hills. i didnt time my run, but i estimated my run was around a 7:10 pace which isnt too bad considering the conditions. March madness is on, so its a good day haha.

Easy...?
Today was an absolutely perfect day for running. It was about 60 degrees and i ran after the sun was down, finally wearing shorts to run!! I was going for an easy 5 miles, about a 7 minute pace.. so that would be 35:00. I ended up finishing in 32:08! That is a 6:25 pace, a little fast for an 'easy' run? But it really didnt feel that hard and i wasnt tired at all afterward. I think all my hard training in the cold weather has really paid off. I have always been a bad runner in the cold, and a warm day today really showed how much improvement i have made. This really gave me some confidence.

Track Workout!
Finally, some speed stuff. I've been asking my coach for speed stuff for a few weeks now and I finally got it... Mile repeats. I hate them, but i know i need them. I did 4 mile repeats with times of 5:30, 5:34, 5:40, and the last one i felt terrible but pushed it to still get a 5:50. Overall, i felt great today, i finally felt like i had accomplished something good in track. Today was a good day and hopefully it is the first of many to come in the near future.

Still not feeling good..
Today was yet another 4 mile tempo... yes very repetitive... Anyway, i ran it in 24:43 which is 6:11 pace. Not too bad, but it felt terrible;e, i cannot remember the last time i felt 'good' while running. I need to change up my training or something, i am getting really sick of this and i am not enjoying running at all anymore.

saturady run
today was an easy day on a saturday mornign so i went for an easy 4. it was a cold crappy windy day out so it wasnt too much fun, but i ran well. i timed my easy run and finished in 28:30, thats a little slower than a 7 minute pace which is what i strive for on my easy runs. running is looking good, but it looks like i might be quitting track. i will continue to run, but since our distance team is so good- theres no spot for me on varsity. i might as well not do it and get a job 4 weeks earlier and make some money.
