Blah

Another crappy day.  I was supposed to run a 6 mile tempo, but i just wasnt up to that.  I just feel like crap, so i went for a 4 mile tempo running it in 25:00. 6:15 pace isnt bad, its just annoying how inconsistent i have been this week. Hopefully things get better next week.

Matching Outfits

So today was an easy 6 day, ran it at a 7 minute pace no problem.  To make it more interesting, my friend and i dressed up identical. We both had black tights on, gray sweatshirts, black gloves, and an orange hat. Our only difference was shoes, but it was still pretty awesome! Needless to say, we got more looks than usual haha.

Better Day!

Finally, i ran well. Although it didnt feel good, i ran a 4 mile tempo in 24:30, that is a 6:07 pace. I'm happy with that, but i did have a lot of cramps.  Nothing much to say, its a boring day haha.

Bike Day

Well today there was no practice after school and i forgot my running stuff at school.  I had to improvise... so i did a grueling 30 miles on a stationary bike, probably the most boring 2 hours of my life (i know its a slow pace).  But, I got my cardio in and some cross training is always good. I would have much rather run, but i made due with what i had.

Bad Day

Today was supposed to be a 4 mile tempo but it ended up being.... a disaster. It started off great with a sold 2 miles in 12:00.  Then..BOOM.  An excruciating pain in my right side- i tried to fight it off, but i was forced to walk for 2 min.  I then picked up running again and ran in the rest of the way at a fairly easy pace finishing with a time of 27:30... 3:30 slower than my desired time.  I am now questioning why I even run, when I hated it so much today.. Anyone else have these kind of days?

First Post

Well, this is my first day as a blogger.  If you have read my info I absolutely love running.  I am very talented at it, although my times do not reflect that due to my injuries.  However, my injuries have enhanced my passion for running and in my time off I have read a lot about running and learned a lot so I will try to share my information with you all.  I hope to be a good source of information for you.  I also would like to be a good source of entertainment. My information will not always helps your running, but it will be interesting. Which leads to my first blog:

The marathon is the ultimate distance challenge for runners, 26.2 miles of non-stop running.  Bob Hall has found a love in this event and is aiming to run a marathon in all 50 states.  He has 45/50 so far.  This story is crazy, he obviously has a passion for running.  My goal has always been to run a marathon in my life...but he is going to run 50+ with respectable times around 3:40!  My personal opinion is that this guy is insane.  He may love running, but running that much cannot possibly be healthy for him.  I know what over training does to a body... I pulled my hamstring as a result of it.  And the pulled hamstring led to my knee cap coming out of alignment, requiring surgery.  Evem if he remains in good health now, he is sure to have knee problems later in life.  But his heart and lungs will definitely be in great condition, which may be all that matters to him.  I personally would not go as crazy as this guy, but that's just me.  I would love to hear what you guys have to say.  Also please give me feedback on how to improve my blogs, I'm new at this.
